Behind the Scenes: Meet Our Dedicated Volunteers

At Christ Banner Mission (CBM), volunteers are the heartbeat of our global outreach. Whether teaching in remote villages, organizing food drives, or praying for our teams, every act of service fuels our mission to spread faith, hope, and compassion. Today, we’re spotlighting one of our incredible volunteers—Sarah Thompson, a teacher-turned-missionary who has dedicated her life to empowering underserved communities.

Meet Sarah: "Serving with Purpose"

Role: Education Coordinator for CBM’s School Building Initiative in Kenya
How She Got Involved:
“I first joined CBM on a short-term mission trip to Kenya five years ago. I saw children studying under trees with no books or desks. I knew I couldn’t walk away.”

Impact:
Sarah now leads a team of 20 volunteers who’ve built three schools, impacting over 1,200 children. “Every brick we lay is a step toward a brighter future,” she says.

Testimonial:
“CBM taught me that service isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about showing up, even when it’s hard. My faith has grown deeper because I see God working through every person here.”

Why Volunteer with CBM?

Volunteering isn’t just about giving time—it’s about joining a family united by purpose. Here’s how volunteers like Sarah make a difference:

  1. Faith in Action: CBM’s work is rooted in Christ’s teachings. Volunteers share God’s love through tangible acts of service.
  2. Global Impact: From disaster relief to literacy programs, your skills can transform lives across continents.
  3. Personal Growth: Volunteers often say serving with CBM deepens their relationship with Christ and broadens their worldview.

Quote from CBM Director:
“Our volunteers aren’t just helpers—they’re ambassadors of hope. Whether they’re here for a week or a year, their legacy lasts forever.”
