Walking with Purpose: Stories of Faith and Service

At Christ Banner Mission, every step we take is guided by faith, every partnership is built on love, and every life we touch reflects God’s purpose. Our mission journeys are more than trips—they’re transformative experiences that bridge continents, cultures, and hearts. Today, we’re sharing a story that embodies the spirit of CBM’s work.

When Sarah Thompson, a nurse from Texas, first signed up for a CBM medical mission trip to Kenya, she admits she felt unsure. “I wondered, ‘What can I really offer?’” she shared. But within days, Sarah found herself in a rural village, treating children for malnutrition, teaching hygiene workshops, and praying with mothers who had never heard the Gospel.

One moment changed everything: a young girl named Amina, who had been too weak to walk, smiled through tears as Sarah placed a Bible in her hands. “God sent you,” Amina whispered. That night, Sarah wrote in her journal: “This isn’t about me—it’s about surrendering to His plan.”

In the same village, CBM partnered with Pastor James, a local leader who has spent 20 years spreading the Gospel. “Before CBM arrived, our community had no clean water or school,” he explained. Together, we built a well and a classroom. Today, over 150 children gather under a tin roof to learn, pray, and dream.

Pastor James’ voice trembled as he added: “You didn’t just bring tools—you brought the love of Christ. Now, our children know they are seen.”

Stories like these remind us why CBM exists. Every mission trip is a thread in a larger tapestry of hope:

• 2024 Impact: 12 countries served, 3,000+ volunteers mobilized, 50+ churches planted.
• 2025 Vision: Expand medical outreach to Ukraine and launch a discipleship program in Southeast Asia.

But none of this happens without faith. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.”

Whether you’re called to serve abroad, support from home, or pray for our teams, your role matters. Here’s how you can participate:

1. Volunteer: Apply for our upcoming trip to Guatemala (July 2025).
2. Give: $150 covers a child’s education for a year; $500 funds a medical kit.
3. Pray: Ask God to guide our next steps and open doors for His Kingdom.
